A fully funded program through a community partnership with the

  • Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction
  • PICS (Progressive Intercultural Community Services)
  • Heritage Community College
  • PCRS (Pacific Community Resources Society)

Admission Requirements

  • B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or mature student status 19years of age
  • Criminal record check (in accordance with the Criminal Records Review Act)
  • Referred by a WorkBC Centre with action Plan
  • Currently, unemployed individuals who have: established a claim for employment insurance (EI) benefits, or EI Reach back or Who have had an EI benefit within the previous 60 months; or Who have earned more than $2,000 in insurable earnings and paid employee EI premiums on those earnings in at least 5 of the last 10 years(Note: the 5 years do not have to be consecutive years)

For English Language Proficiency proof of:

  • Grade 10 English or
  • IELTS (Academic or General) overall score of 6 or
  • TOEFL Overall score of 76 or
  • CAEL Overall Score of 60 or
  • CELPIP (Academic or General) aggregate score of 4L
